We used to "scrub" your skin to achieve a single goal: to eliminate dead cells from the skin to achieve a healthy radiant glow and smoother skin. For all skin types, I recommend using a combination of physical and chemical peeling methods for achieving the best results. "Normal" skin types tend to be able to tolerate more frequent and stronger types of exfoliation of the sensitive skin. Remember that our skin naturally exfoliates daily and about once a month, we have the pleasure of a new epidermis. When you choose a product on the counter to help this process, keep in mind that nature is not always better. Some "natural" cleaning particles such as sugar, salt, almond flour or fruit pits are not uniform surfaces and can often be too large and abrasive for the face. The choice of a Scrub with particles of uniform, in my opinion the best for the face and neck. A couple of products I recommend are bright Moon Rock Anti-Matter by Polish Cosminology Dr. Dima Sweep Gentle Refining Exfoliant by Laboratoire Remede and Medi-Morphosis Self Adjusting Exfoliator Cosmedicine by Test the product by rubbing a little between your thumb and forefinger. Regarding frequency, my recommendation for normal skin is "according tolerance, but at least twice a week.
If any dermatological skin condition exist that require treatment, these natural products are generally good use on the body. Personally, I use a loofah in the shower about 3 times a week. You must determine how much you can tolerate and what feels right for you. It is similar to driving a manual shift car you pass gradually or you mess up the gears. Start slowly and see how it goes. The exfoliation, leaving your skin soft, smooth and shiny is better than the exfoliation leading to contact your doctor complaining of identify bleeding on his face …. This can happen if you decide to use a pot scrubbing sponge (true story). This may be fine for calluses, but not your face. This type of abrasive may lead to a process called PIH or Post inflammatory pigmentation. You do not want to exchange the dead cells of skin for brown spots … Balance is always better for a home treatment.
Without going into too much detail on more clinical / physical qualities and chemical exfoliation, I would say that I've never been a supporter of microdermabrasion. I prefer vibradermabrasion which employs a very effective oscillation technology without causing damage that the combination of suction and the crystals can cause. M y only prudent alternative would be not to buy chemical peels on the Internet should be used only by a qualified physician or a skin specialist. I have had several patients trying save by buying the Obagi Blue Peel on the Internet and its use at home. They all resulted in chemical burns requiring prescription topical and laser treatments to reverse. The bottom line is that helping the natural exfoliation of your skin is a good thing, but sometimes too much of a good thing can be bad. If you are not sure how much is too much, consult your doctor.
