There are many happy people out there who are indebted to lubricants containing spermicides. Spermicides can take many forms, including frozen, foams, creams and suppositories. Lubricants containing spermicides are like getting a great 2 for 1 deal, you not only get the benefits of using lubricant to increase your eroticism, but you have the bonus of sperm killers working for you, too. Although lubricants containing spermicides are very popular, there are some things to keep in mind that you should be on the lookout.

Spermicidal lubricant containing generally contain a chemical called oxinyl No. 9 (No. 9) or one called octoxynol. However, a 2002 study revealed that not only lubricants with spermicides do not kill STDs, it may actually increase the vulnerability of STDs, because that spermicides are very irritating to the vagina. When genitals are angry, and when a spermicide is used, the skin and vaginal area becomes vulnerable because the fabric is delicate and easily torn, creating small open sores, which opens the genital area to infection. Not oxinyl octoxynol 9 and both are effective at killing sperm, but beware, they may really be a source of irritation, pain and burning as well.

Instead of using lubricants with spermicides, it is recommended to use Lubricants with using a condom. There are three main types of lubricant: water-based, oil based, and silicone. The best of lubricant to use with a condom lubricant is water based. Several oil lubricants contain base oils which are similar those of petroleum jelly, baby oil, and some face cream. The oil in these products may reduce the resistance of condoms 90% in the first 60 seconds of contact! Lubricants water based like KY, Astroglide and Wet are oils that react with latex, do a wise choice to use to ensure that your condom is working as it should. In silicone lubricants are ok to use, but many people whose love as much as water-based lubricants because silicone lubricants are much more difficult to wash, and they are more expensive than water lubricant.
