Whatever type of skin you have, you need a certain type of moisturizing. If all you want from a product moisture, then you must also know what type of moisturizer suitable for your skin type. There are many different types of lotions body creams and above all the face moisturizer. Does it really matter if you use a lotion or cream as long as you use some type of moisturizer? Of course yes!
Moisturizers are no different from moisturizers face when it comes to making the right choice for your skin. They may be specific to your skin type or to serve a specific purpose. First, look at the difference between the body lotion and creams.
Both body lotion and cream to serve the same purpose, which puts moisture back into your skin. What determines that there is good for you is how your skin is dry and the areas you want to put moisturizer on. Body lotions are usually made of water and oil. They are light moisturizers that do not effect fat and are absorbed quickly into the skin when applied.
As a general rule, the lotions are used on skin that is not extremely dry. You may not have dry skin in summer, but it becomes dry when the winter rolls around. Then you want to apply lotion to provide a lightweight moisturizer to your skin unusually dry.
Body Creams are made with oil and water, but they are thicker in consistency. They also absorb easily into the skin, but provide a barrier between your skin and the elements which may irritate or chap the skin. If you have oily skin, then you want to avoid creams because they tend to block pores and can cause defects in the skin acne.
Sometimes people have dry skin in certain areas of their body, like hands and elbows, they do in others. If so, you may want to put the cream on the areas most dry and the lotion on the parts most fat.
A new type of cream for the body is a body butter. If your skin is dry all, you'll love the way the body butter feels on the skin. It absorbs well and has the consistency of a butter spread.

If your moisturizer for the face is an anti-aging skin cream, you may want to wear a body lotion or cream that has anti-aging ingredients as well. Some of them have properties that reduce the progression of aging on your skin while others have skin "firming formula" that helps restore elasticity to your skin while you sleep.
An additional benefit to those moisturizers is that they tend to be less expensive than those for use on your face while they seem to work equally well. Most of them have the same or similar some ingredients are available for different skin types.
